The Firm
The firm has been established for over 25 years, having originally been founded by Chris Miles in 1981 as Christopher Miles & Company and changing its name to MILES CMC in 2005.
As Chartered Accountants, Registered Auditors and Business Advisers, we are a general practice serving a wide portfolio of clients including private clients, sole traders, partnerships, owner managed companies, charities, trusts and associations. Our services cover not only the full spectrum of tax, accounting and audit compliance requirements, but also a wide range of other related services. These include training, payroll, company secretarial support and general advice on planning and finance issues for businesses and individuals.
Location
We are conveniently located in Portishead, Bristol, just minutes from Junction 19 of the M5 which gives us excellent transport links to the M4, M5 corridor region with easy access to Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Monmouthshire and beyond. Portishead has been described as one of the fastest growing towns in Europe. The addition of a significant amount of both residential and commercial property, is leading to many people choosing Portishead as an ideal town to both live and work. Central to the development is the new Portishead Marina utilising the site of the old town dock and power station. A watercolour, by local artist Gill Leigh, featuring the Marina, has been used in the design of our website.
Our Offices
As the firm became established in the 1980’s we purchased our own offices at Stanley House in West Hill, Portishead, which have been subsequently expanded and updated to meet the demands of a 21st century client focused team. Our facilities include space dedicated for use for board room meetings and training.
