Gill Leigh

Background

Gill was raised in Central Africa, which is something that influences her subject matter. She worked as a Ministry of Defence photographer until having her two children, when she developed her interest in watercolour.

Classes in Portishead

Gill teaches watercolour painting in small groups at the Friends Meeting Hall, St Mary’s Road.

Tuesday afternoons : 1pm to 3pm
Tuesday evenings : 7pm to 9pm
Wednesday afternoons : 1pm to 3pm

Venice Holidays

Each May she takes students to paint in Venice. Before setting out, they are given a preparatory workshop in the UK and once in Venice, Gill continues to support her students in their work.

Exhibitions

Gill participates in the North Somerset Art Week and enters open exhibitions locally and in Bristol.
